Me , GDragon, and Choco Pies.

The first korean music adventure that I had was to see GDragon: One of  A Kind World Tour: The Final.

The concert was scheduled for the first Saturday and Sunday after I entered Korea. Initially, I had no intention of going to the concert. I wasn't a big GD fan and to be honest, it wasn't that important to me. I liked his music ok, but I wasn't a fan girl.

( Enter the roommate) So my roommate is from HongKong and she loves BigBang, especially GD. So she started looking for tickets and asked if I wanted to go. Since I had nothing to lose, I joined the hunt for tickets. Now, if you know anything about this concert, you probably know that the tickets had been sold out for months. So how did we get tickets?

Well, we waited in line for 2 hours to pick up any spare seats. At most concerts a group of 5 or more will book seats leaving 1 or 2 extra seats on the same row that no other group can use unless they split up. This works great for a single or duo to get better seats last minute. GD's concert was only sold on Gmarket so foreigners without an Alien registration card can not buy tickets online. So we took a chance and waited in line at the onsite ticket booth. Luckily, we got really good seats on the first seated level (section 14) in the Olympic Hall at Olympic Park.

After we got tickets, we waited in the souvenir line. The last hat sold that night when to ...me!! I was so happy. Also, I became addicted to choco pies. He had these "One of a Kind "concert choco pies( basically a snack cake kinda). They actually sell them under the normal brand name in stores. ( I at mine in 2 days it was a box of twelve....)

KPOP concerts are very strict on taking professional cameras inside. So be warned and check your bags at the booth or locker provided( for a small fee). If you are a foreigner , they are very nice about leading you to the right place to do so. I had no problems with any of the staff understanding me or my needs.

The concert its self was so cool. The energy of the fans and of GD was like nothing else. He really loves his fans. He was in the audience just as much as he was on stage. GD's concert was amazing and I became more of a fan when I left. I appreciated him more an artist.

(more pictures later)

Peace out !! and I hope you enjoyed my sip of Seoul.
