Me, the subway, and a lot of getting lost

Mississippi is so small compared to  Seoul. There is no subway , and the bus system is a joke. However in Seoul, that is all there is. When I first came to Korea, I got lost at least 3x a week on the Subway but now I ride like a pro. I've memorized my regular routes, and can either use the map to find my connect or have my phone do it for me.

What do you need to know to ride the Subway in Korea?

1. Map reading skills and a slight sense of direction.
2. When that fails download the app " Jihachul ". You put in your location and your destination and then you're good to go. It even tells you the best car to transfer in.

3. There's a bus app but I still haven't downloaded it yet, but it's good.  It's called 지도.

4. If you are lost you have two options:
      a. Try to ask a Korean for directions and hope they don't run away.( Yes, the fear of speaking English is very strong in Korea)
      b. Find a police officer and cry frantically. I've been told they are very helpful and may even    call you a cab.
